Ms Sarah - Year 4 Teacher

Hello everyone, my name is Sarah and I am so happy to be the new Y ear 4 teacher at ICS!  I am currently in my fifth year of teaching, and have taught in The USA, UK, and Australia before.  I am from the USA, and have travelled to and lived in many different countries. In addition to school teaching, I have also run many children's summer marine/nature education programme  I have also spent my after school time coaching football, as well as playing a bit myself!  I am very excited to be a part of the amazing staff at ICS, and to work with my fantastic and fascinating year 4 students!

The Unit of Inquiry for Year 4 Autumn term is Expressive Art.  The students will be exploring ways to express themselves and show their feelings through art, as well as interpret how others are feeling by looking at their artwork.  We explore the resons behind creating art, and come up with our own motivations for creating masterpieces.  We will take trips to museums and galleries to view the many different types of art, and formulate opinions on famous artists.  If you feel that you can contribute to our exploration of expressive art, please let me know...we'd love to hear from you!
