Ms. Alison - Year 10 Teacher

Alison Beck joined the International Community School in 2006, after teaching for six years in the United States . Although in her first year at ICS, Alison has taken on a myriad of responsibilities. Her primary tasks have been introducing a new humanities (integrated history/geography) curriculum to years seven through nine and coordinating the school’s sport program. She also teaches maths to our Foundation Course and Integration students and serves as the Year 10 form tutor.

Ms. Alison received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Mathematics from Claremont McKenna College . She earned her Education Masters from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She joins ICS having recently completed a Masters in Science degree from the London School of Economics, where she studied Human Rights. She appreciates ICS for its respect for diversity and strong commitment to social justice education.
