ICS PROJECT ENGLISH PROGRAMME (May and June)

Available for children aged 5-17 years. The programme’s main focus is development of language and skills through 17 hours of content driven class projects. Learners develop their English through lessons, activities and excursions based around a project, for example ‘The Environment’, ‘The Media’, ‘Culture and the Arts’. Learning is often ‘task-based’: learners practise and develop their language through tasks such as conducting surveys and writing reports.

Discover London

All Project English courses have one ‘Discover London’ academic excursion each week to galleries, museums and historical sites. The focus is on using London as an outdoor classroom. The students do intensive preparation for the excursion, complete tasks and worksheets whilst on the excursion and do follow-up work when they get back to class.

Sport

There is also one sports session per week during which students practise sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, dance, ice-skating and badminton.
