Your stay in London

Staying with a homestay provider is an important part of a student's study trip. London, a vibrant, exciting cosmopolitan city attracts people who wish to work, study and travel, and is home to a wonderful mix of nationalities. Our homestay providers reflect the international nature of those who live in London. For many students, living in London will not mirror the same experience they are used to at home in their own countries. Students may need to adapt to life in London. Houses are different, the food is different and traditions are different. All our providers are fluent speakers of English, ready and willing to help students improve their communication skills.

Accommodation for students aged from 13-17 years is arranged by an Accommodation Agency which has a long and trusted relationship with SKOLA schools. All the providers are carefully selected, experienced with hosting, checked for suitability to work with children. We monitor every student's stay with a homestay provider to ensure the student is comfortable and happy in their new surroundings

Placement in homestay includes:

• Placement within a 45 minutes radius of the school
• Half board accommodation Monday to Friday
• Full board accommodation Saturday and Sunday
• Care of student's laundry

A minimum of three weeks’ notice is required to process all accommodation requests.

Homestay Plus

ICS can also provide School managed Homestay Plus accommodation for our longer term students. This entails accommodation with two host providers that are both run by fully qualified teachers (with Special Education Needs background). Both these Homestay Plus providers are located in different parts of a large Victorian house. This accommodation also includes the following features:

• House opposite large park
• Homestay Provider 1 - Large triple student room,
• Homestay Provider 2 - 1 twin room and 2 single rooms,
• Wooden floors throughout, no carpets
• 3 student bathrooms
• 2 staff flats
• 1 main kitchen and 1 smaller kitchen
• 2 Dining & lounge areas
• 15 metre garden
• Broadband Wi-Fi
• Students will be supervised at all times by the Homestay Providers
• Laundry service, school minibus and room cleaning included in the fees

The Homestay Plus accommodation is subject to the same monitoring procedures by our Accommodation Agency
